Rapper and actor Will Smith has taken to social media to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the debut of The Fresh Prince of Bel-AIr.

Posting a photo taken in 2020 to commemorate the anniversary, Will Smith had toured the location ahead of the reunion special along with other members of the cast.

Will Smith more or less played himself in this good-natured NBC sitcom. As the show’s popular theme song explains, fictional Will’s mom sends him away from his rough Philadelphia neighbourhood to live with wealthy Uncle Phil and Aunt Vivian in Bel-Air. Will often has fun at the expense of stuck-up cousins Carlton and Hilary.

The sitcom grew to massive popularity, establishing iconic memes and moments still used in the pop culture zeitgeist today.

In 2022, a prequel reboot of the series called Bel-Air was executive produced by Smith, based on Will’s character’s journey from the streets of West Philadelphia.

The account boasts 87.3K followers, and one of their most recent street interactions featured a Maltese woman.

She was asked where she was from and how the Maltese say ‘I love you’, to which she of course responded with: ‘Inħobbok’.

The host went on to make a joke about it, with the video the Maltese was featured on garnering 61.0K views and 3904 likes.

The comments attracted a whole host of Maltese fans of the channel, exclaiming their excitement at seeing a fellow Maltese featured on the channel.

Celebrating Their 50th Anniversary With A Puttinu Donation

Walter and Vivienne Gambin have decided to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary by donating €3,000 to Puttinu Cares.

‘During their gathering with family and friends’, the couple amassed the sum and presented it to the NGO yesterday morning.

Puttinu Cares helps many, especially children, as they battle serious diseases like cancer. This couple’s donation will go to fund further help and other projects which will hopefully change the lives of so many patients for the better.

Water Leak From Mater Dei Ceiling In Shocking Video

Nationalist MP Ian Vassallo Hagi took to social media to share a video sent to him which shows a water leakage in Mater Dei Hospital as water drops from the ceiling.

The video was reportedly shared over night with MP Vassallo Hagi, with the clip showing staff at the hospital setting up buckets and other materials to absorb the descending water.

Vassallo Hagi wrote in his critique of the situation how the €400 million in the controversial Vitals deal should have been instead applied to fixing issues such as this. The sentiment was also echoed by PN MP Darren Carabott.
