Glenn Carabott, the police sergeant charged with the rape of a woman whilst on duty, ‘appeared to be high on drugs’ according to a court report.

During yesterday’s compilation of evidence, Superintendent Graziella Muscat told the court that the sergeant was a heavy drug user who told the victim that he produces pornographic films for money and shares them to a select number of people.

The victim also reported that she ‘knew what was coming’ due to childhood abuse and despite allegedly telling Carabott that she had a sexually transmitted disease and addressing him as ‘sir’, he got increasingly aroused.

The victim, who is currently in hospital on an unrelated issue and will testify in due time, described Carabott as an “animal”.
