12 Year Old Girl Reportedly Stabbed By Mother’s Partner Whilst Asleep

According to TVM News, the 12 year old girl who was reportedly assaulted with a knife was asleep when she was stabbed around 17 times by her mother’s partner in a Marsa residence.

Last reports indicate that the girl is still in serious condition at the Intensive Care Unit at Mater Dei Hospital.

Her 15 year old sister also had to be hospitalised as she was certified as having suffered grievous injuries on her hand.

The suspect, who was arrested shortly after the crime, is the partner of the girls’ mother and a 43 year old man from Cospicua. He is expected to be arraigned in court in the coming days.

The man reportedly stabbed the girls when the mother was shopping and he was at home with them. He fled the scene before she returned home.
