The World Health Organisation’s Regional Director, Hans Kluge, has praised Malta for its new measures against COVID-19. In a Tweet posted last Sunday, Kluge showed his support for the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister for “stepping up the needed preventive measures”.

On Friday, the Government announced that all bars, clubs and catering establishments should be closing their doors by 11pm, while also making mask-wearing mandatory in all public places. This means that one can only take off their masks if they are in their own private home, vehicle or in an area on their own.
