Asking our followers on social media what they think of Adrian Delia putting his name in the ring for the Nationalist Party leadership, we got quite the mixed reaction.

The results were close, with just over 350 responding that they would like to see Delia take the leadership and over 300 responding with a ‘no’.

Yesterday, the former PN Leader announced that he would be vying for the title as he was touted as the second favourite after Alex Borg to become leader.

So far, only Delia has been the prominent person to reveal his entry into the race.

Former MP and current lawyer Franco Debono has also been touted as a favourite after Delia, but has also not yet announced his entry into the race.

'Make Pool Barriers Mandatory In Malta' - Former MEP Candidate
Jun 24 2025 Share

Former Member of the European Parliament candidate on behalf of the Nationalist Party Lee Bugeja Bartolo took to social media to recommend the Maltese government making pool barriers mandatory.

This followed the tragic accident which saw the passing of six year old Zaylen, who drowned in a pool after wandering off from his family over the weekend.

The boy was found unconscious in a pool and, despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced deceased shortly after.

Bugeja Bartolo said that in Australia, where he was born in the 1990s, these laws were put into effect to avoid these accidents following a number of similar tragedies.
