The controversial tree removal in the heart of Mosta sent the entire country into a national discussion, and Love Island Season One winner Allen Piscopo has given his two cents on the matter.

Having a Master of Science in Natural Environment and Resources Management, Piscopo stated that he had the duty to comment on the matter, especially for the fact that he works in the same sector.

Taking to Instagram, he wrote that he is irritated that the environment has once again been refused the importance it deserves. Piscopo went on to highlight that trees do not only offer shelter for flora and fauna such as birds, but also decrease the surface temperature significantly.

“I have always been of the understand that the tree was there first, so why aren’t projects planned in ways that complement these trees? Why are the trees always caught in the middle, like they are defacing the country?”

To conclude, he wrote “It’s good that we take care of our trees and ‘uprooting’ is done well, but trees in our urban spaces are much more important. We’re Defacing Our Country Instead of Greening It.”

Do you agree with Allen?

As the eagerly awaited premiere of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Wonka approaches, Xbox is celebrating the iconic chocolatier’s comeback with a unique gaming experience.

In an unprecedented sweepstakes starting November 13, fans have the chance to win an edible Xbox Controller crafted entirely from 100% pure chocolate and adorned with a signature gold wrapper.

Designed with a custom burgundy-colored aesthetic inspired by Wonka’s classic coat from the film, the chocolate controller includes five additional truffles crafted to enhance the Xbox gaming experience with Wonka-inspired flavors.

These include “Achievement Hunting” with energy-boosting ingredients, “Button Smasher” infused with espresso, “Your Citrus Sidekick” featuring orange notes inspired by Xbox Game Pass titles, “Xtra Kick” blending sweet and spicy elements, and “Wonka for the Win” made of 100% pure chocolate.

Beyond the chocolate delights, Xbox has created a movie-inspired Xbox Series X and storefront display for select sweepstakes winners. The limited-edition console mirrors Willy Wonka’s chocolate store, though, unlike the edible controller, the gaming system is not intended for consumption.
