During the Labour Party’s general conference on Friday, Prime Minister and Labour Leader Robert Abela said that the PL has a duty to be brave and decisive in the face of certain decisions.
Abela stated that no decision comes without its questions, but held that the PL must implement its 1,000 electoral pledges to show that it is strong and capable when it comes to the country’s leadership.
During the meeting, Abela also stated that the government has a duty to address social injustices and inequalities and instead of falling in the face of intimidation, it brought courage to many despite international circumstances.
During Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne’s discourse, it was stated that the country must unite to face realities brought upon by the crisis in Ukraine. Referring to the recent general election, Fearne stated that everything must be done to bring the percentage of non-voters closer to the Labour Party.
