This morning, the Amerigo Vespucci, the Italian Navy’s legendary training ship, sailed out of Grand Harbour, putting on a breathtaking display of maritime tradition and elegance.
Earlier this week, the iconic vessel docked at the Valletta Cruise Port, marking the start of its visit to Malta. Known as “the world’s most beautiful ship,”
The Amerigo Vespucci was open to the public for free visits, offering an incredible opportunity to explore its majestic design and rich history.

The Civil Protection Department was called to the scene of a structure fire that broke out in a residential building in Birkirkara.
Firefighters from Fire Station 4 responded at around 5:30 a.m. following reports of smoke coming from the upper floor of the building.
Seven residents were safely evacuated from the premises. Emergency personnel from Mater Dei Hospital’s Emergency Department were on site to assess and treat those affected. All sustained minor injuries.
The Civil Protection Department also extended its thanks to the Malta Police Force and Mater Dei Hospital’s Emergency Department for their assistance during the operation.
