Figures obtained by Television Malta has announced that four out of ten people who apply for their driving license fail the practical side annually. An average 8000 practical tests are performed yearly, with a majority of foreigners living in Malta taking the test in summer. Some of the most common mistakes encountered by Transport Malta examiners are failure to use indicators and choosing the correct lane when approaching a roundabout.

Director of Land Transport Clint Mansueto said that when banal mistakes are encountered, it indicates a lack of preparedness by the aspiring driver. As for the theory test, about 10,500 are done yearly with around two out of ten failing. Despite the pandemic, driving test applicants remained relatively the same, with 2020 seeing 5,500 people getting their license.

She went on show her training outfit by explaining that she was wearing wrist weights and walking fast and went on to state that she does not want to over-generalise a large group of men. Yet she cannot understand how despite all the awareness on social media about these topics, she and other women still have to live in this broken society.

Maria states that humans are really intelligent and should thus understand how this is affecting girls and women. The video ends with her tearing up and calling for much more awareness.

Malta has officially registered the lowest number of COVID-19 cases since August 30th 2020, when Malta registered 15 cases. 13 cases were reported today on 20th April 2021, showing a significant decrease in the battle against the pandemic, and possibly a positive light.

Malta has also registered 62 new recoveries, with 563 active cases. The vaccine rollout and health measures put in place, which are currently being eased, seemed to have had the desired outcome. Malta has so far administered 282,841 vaccine doses, of which 87,770 were second doses. Despite there being a decrease, health authorities advise the public to abide by health measures in place and accept vaccination invites when received, so as to continue mitigation.
