Documents filed with the Environment and Resources Authority have revealed that the planned race circuit in Hal Far could host up to five motorsport event per year.

The Project Description Statement (PDS) filed with the ERA highlights certain details proposed by the Malta Motorsports Federation, with the document itself written by ADI consultants. The document outlines that together with the already-existing karting track and drag racing facility, the area will be converted into a national multi-purpose motorsports hub, hosting “a range of national and international motor sports events along with other sports, business, and recreational activities for the local motor sport and racing community, as well as for tourists and international visitors.”

The facility will be used for national, regional and international championships for cars and bikes, drifting events, test events and even try-outs for tracks and cars of the general public along with road safety tests conducted by Transport Malta, the Police and driving schools, amongst others.

The document also highlighted the plan for the race track to become a new destination for event tourism with conferences and exhibitions.

Amongst other suggestions, the PDS proposed that the Government of Malta considers the relocation of the various Refugee Centres, eliminating certain impacts brought upon by the race track.

Adidas launch line of inclusive sports bras with tweet of 25 bare breasts

Feb 11 2022 Share

Apparel giant Adidas have announced that they will launch a new line of inclusive sports bras, but the advertisement for them isn’t what you would expect. On Wednesday, the German brand tweeted a photo of 25 pairs of bare breasts as part of their inclusive campaign.

While breast health and the relevant imagery remain somewhat of a taboo, Adidas jumped headfirst into such a topic by not only launching a reengineered line of sports bras but tweeting such a photo, which would be prohibited by most social media networks for violating nudity guidelines. Twitter does not have such guidelines, which make it the ideal social media platform for the announcement.

Industry equality advocate Cindy Gallop congratulated Adidas for such an initiative, encouraging Facebook and Instagram to allow such posts, with the current guidelines banning female founders from “any kind of open, healthy, educational advertising or content, let alone pics of nipples…”

The concept was designed by a team of all-female designers, testers and experts, with hopes of such a collection helping individuals who wear such apparel whilst stimulating mature and inclusive discourse.

The back-and-forth between the two was triggered by Eilish recently offering an inhaler to a distressed fan in Atlanta, going on to stay that ‘she waits for people to be okay before she keeps going.’ This follows the recent global controversy surrounding Travis Scott’s deadly Astroworld festival in 2021, which left 10 attendees dead, 25 hospitalised and around 300 partially injured.

Since then, Billie has responded to West’s post via comment, saying that she “Literally never said a thing about Travis. Was just helping a fan.”
