Malta Daily has been sent footage of a hedgehog caught in a can which was probably discarded irresponsibly, with the individual behind the lens eventually saving the distressed creature.

The clip begins by showing the hedgehog scurrying in an attempt to remove itself from the can to no avail, with president of the Federazzjoni Kaccaturi Nassaba Konservazzjonisti (FKNK) heroically approaching the creature and saving it from further injury.

The video serves as a wake-up call for whoever inappropriately disposes of their thrash. Properly disposing of your thrash does not only contribute to a clean environment but saves the local ecosystem from potential threats and danger.

Calling out all the sleepy-heads, if you wanted more reason to snuggle in bed and get some shut eye, sleep could actually improve your heart health drastically.

As per the title, the questionnaire measures the eight key factors which impact heart health. Sleep duration made the list after researchers examined new scientific evidence over the past decade.

They found that sleep played an important role in heart health. The AHA’s chief medical officer, Dr Eduardo Sanchez, said that people who don’t get enough sleep have a higher chance of things like obesity, hypertension and diabetes.

Of course, it’s not just any sleep that does the trick. Getting between seven to nine hours of sleep each night is critical. Accompanied to this are making sure that the sleep is of the best quality as constantly waking up could lead to higher blood pressure.

Apart from sleep, the list identified diet, physical activity, exposure to nicotine, body mass index, blood lips, blood glucose and blood pressure as the crucial factors which contribute to heart health.

You might soon start sleeping in bunkbeds on long haul flights

You might soon start sleeping in bunkbeds on long haul flights
Jun 30 2022 Share

For anyone who’s ever been on one, a long haul flight with its economy class seats is not exactly the best experience. The journey is made more tedious by the fact that the seats aren’t designed for maximum comfort, and given the long hours, it can really take a toll.

But now, it seems as though Air New Zealand has found a solution to combat this annoying problem – bunkbeds!

The airline is currently testing its ‘Skynest’ concept, which includes six full length sleeping pods. According to CNN, the passengers will be able to lay down and stretch on actual beds.

The sleeping pods will be included in the new Boeing 787 Dreamliners, which are scheduled to enter service in 2024. They will be available on excessively long 17-hour flights.

According to the report, passengers can book a four-hour slot in a bunk bed, with the snapshots of the concept uploaded to the airline’s twitter showing just what people are in for. With full-size pillows, bedding, ear plugs, reading lights and a ventilation outlet, this will definitely offer up a new flight experience.

“A typical sleep cycle is around 90 minutes, so a four-hour session allows customers to wind down, fall asleep, and wake up,” a spokesperson said. Five economy seats will be removed to make way for six Skynest sleep pods, with the bedding changed after every session for hygiene.
