The Malta Police Force have issued a public warning to mind scam telephone calls which are taking place.
The calls are taking place through local numbers which are spoofed, pretending to be police offices, asking people to provide personal and bank details.
The police are appealing the public to not give any details if they receive the call and to contact the police using the official numbers.
