We’re in for some weird weather patterns ahead. According to Facebook page Malta Weather, forecasts are seeing ‘meteorological autumn’ starting pretty much where summer left off.’
This means that maximum temperatures will be rising to around mid 30°C in September, delaying the rainy season for several days.
In fact, October and November are being predicted as being drier than usual for this time of the year. And yet, at least one severe thunderstorm is expected to cause some local damage across the islands.
And that’s not all, as a ‘medicane’, or mediterranean hurricane, is likely to form later on in autumn due to current heat being maintained well into the season.
If you’re wondering about this upcoming week, there’s no clear consistency when it comes to daily weather. The skies are set to be partly sunny and cloudy all the way up until the weekend.
