Vulnerable people have started to be vaccinated for COVID-19 as of last Thursday.
The number of vulnerable people who are to be vaccinated stands at 25,000.
Vulnerable people are being vaccinated at Mater Dei. Mater Dei has started vaccinating 60 people a day and the number will continue to increase gradually.

It seems that Donald Trump was actually much sicker than he let on when he had contracted the COVID-19 virus.
The New York Times has said that he was very close to being put on a ventilator when he was being hospitalised and that at one point, he developed a lung problem associated with pneumonia.
Trump and the white house staff continuously downplayed his sickness severity, and he urged people not to be afraid of the virus.

Clayton Mercieca, community manager of local LGBTIQ+ organisation ‘allied rainbow communities’ stated that the influx of homophobic comments shines a light on the lack of safety for LGBTIQ individuals in Malta
He went on to highlight how comments were particularly made by ‘expats whose country of origin have a track record of state-sponsored homophobia or lack of recognition and visibility towards LGBTIQ individuals.’
