A European Parliament survey on young EU citizens aged 16-30 reveals key insights about Maltese youth. The cost of living remains their biggest concern, mirroring European trends, while issues like economic stability, job creation, healthcare, and education also rank high.

When it comes to their stance on the EU, 42% of Maltese respondents support the union but are dissatisfied with how it currently operates.

In contrast to the 39% EU average, only 28% of Maltese youth said they voted in a local, national, or European election, with 37% abstaining due to a lack of relatable candidates or parties—significantly higher than the 15% European average.
