Valletta To Host Free TVM Eurovision Fan Zone at Triton Square

Get ready for a Eurovision extravaganza in Valletta! On Thursday, 9th May, and Saturday, 11th May, the Triton Fountain Square in Valletta, one of Malta’s most recognisable spots, will become the Official TVM Eurovision Fan Zone. This fan zone offers a unique space for Eurovision enthusiasts and visitors to come together.

The event, in collaboration with Malta Daily, provides free entry on both nights for anyone who wants to join in. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, making it an exciting opportunity for fans to gather.

A live broadcast of the Semi-Final from Malmö Arena will be shown on Thursday, 9th May, starting at 21:00, followed by the Grand Final on Saturday, 11th May, at the same time. Both events will be displayed on a big screen in the fan zone, allowing everyone to enjoy the Eurovision action together.

Additionally, from 20:00 onwards on both nights, local artists such as Klinsmann, Federica, and Rita Pace will take the stage, offering some great entertainment before the main show.

So, if you’re a Eurovision fan or just looking for some fun, head to Valletta’s Triton Fountain Square for an unforgettable experience. No ticket is needed—just come along and enjoy the music and festivities!

Universal Air is delighted to announce its summer schedule with the launch of four additional new routes from its base in Malta, to Cagliari in Sardinia, Perugia in Northern Italy, Nice in France, Prague in Czechia and between Cagliari and Prague alongside its current routes to Athens and Corfu in Greece, The Balearic Island of Ibiza, Palermo in Sicily, and Pécs in Hungary.

Earlier this month, Universal Air launched its inaugural flight between Malta and Pécs as the airline sets new standards for air travel in the Mediterranean.

The summer flight schedule will run from May until October with flights operating from Malta to Corfu and Palermo three times a week, with twice-weekly flights to Nice, Athens, Ibiza and Perugia and weekly flights from Malta to Cagliari and Prague and between Prague and Cagliari. Prices will start from as little as 30 Euros per seat one way from Malta to Palermo including 15kg of checked luggage and a 7kg bag allowance in the cabin.

The new routes provide direct access to many of Europe’s most exciting destinations. BIG celebrations are being hinted at by Ħamrun Spartans and their supporters for tomorrow as they are set to be officially crowned champions for their Premier League win.

Ħamrun will be facing 7th place Hibernians tomorrow – Saturday 4th May – for the last match of the 2023/24 season.

Their victory was already sealed after they managed to beat 2nd place Floriana to secure their 10th Premier League title in their club history. This led to the obtaining of the famous first star on their badge.

And upon the advent of this victory, celebrations will be taking place first at the ground before moving to Strada Rjali in Ħamrun’s centre in the locality’s classic fashion.
