Superintendent for Public Health Prof. Charmaine Gauci has revealed that the COVID-19 vaccine certificate issued by Malta does not have an expiry date, despite a previous legal notice claiming that it is only valid for six months.
Prof. Gauci assured the public that they do not have to worry about eligibility for a booster as their vaccination is still valid. That means that anyone wanting to go abroad, eat at restaurants or attend any form of event can show their vaccine certificate and they should be accepted.
When asked about the legal notice highlighting the validity of six months, Gauci revealed that the notice had no date and is thus not attached to a particular time frame.
