A Texas man, formerly known as Dustin Ebey, has embarked on a unique campaign by legally changing his name to “Literally Anybody Else” and running for president.
He argues that f, referencing Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
The 35-year-old seventh-grade math teacher and US Army veteran aims to provide voters with an alternative option, expressing dissatisfaction with the traditional candidates whom he believes do not truly represent the populace.
However, his chances of appearing on the ballot in Texas are slim, requiring a substantial number of signatures from registered voters.
Else acknowledges the difficulty of his endeavour but hopes that voters will consider writing in his name as a protest against the perceived lack of choice in the current political landscape.
His campaign reflects broader discontent with the major parties, as evidenced by a Reuters/Ipsos poll showing widespread dissatisfaction with both Biden and Trump. Despite the challenges, Else remains committed to offering an alternative to the status quo and advocating for greater representation for disillusioned voters.
