Up to 200,000 people have fled Ukraine, United Nations refugee agency says

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has stated that over 200,000 people have fled Ukraine and arrived in neighbouring countries amid the Russian attacks on the country.

The report sustained that numbers are updated constantly, with the United Nations previously suggested that as many as 4 million people may be displaced by the country’s conflict with Russia. Other reports have described the border between Ukraine and Poland as similar to a refugee camp while others have travelled to neighbouring countries like Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova.

Meanwhile, a Ukrainian presidential adviser has revealed that Ukraine “has destroyed half of Russian transport” which attempted to enter Kharkiv, the country’s second-largest city, on Sunday.

In celebration of Spider-Man: No Way Home dropping on digital on-demand and Blu-ray after a record-breaking streak in the global box office, the three stars recreated the viral Spider-Man meme, pointing at one another each other in sheer child-like enjoyment.

The at-home release of ‘No Way Home’ will include 80 minutes of never-before-seen footage including bloopers, behind-the-scenes moments, featurettes and easter eggs.

As Malta’s political parties continue to campaign in the lead-up to the March 26 election, former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat has been making a number of appearances at various Labour Party events across Malta and Gozo.

In his recent Cottonera visit, Muscat was given a hero’s welcome, greeted by a roar of cheers and applause as he headed to a campaign activity organised by Labour Whip Glenn Bedingfield. As he addressed the crowds, Muscat stated that the biggest advantage built by the Labour Party is its unity, going on to appeal to attendees to let no one break them apart.

The former Prime Minister praised the government’s recent work and encouraged the people of Cottonera to, like him, vote for the Labour Party on March 26.

Amid their general election campaign leading up to the March 26 voting day, the Nationalist Party has raised €541,230 in funds during their recent marathon fundraising event at the Nationalist Party headquarters.

A recent post on the Nationalist Party Facebook page shared the total amount, going on to thank its followers for their contributions, signing off with the PN’s electoral slogan ‘Miegħek għal Malta’
