A new architectural marvel is set to rise in Dubai by December 2028. Designed by renowned Spanish firm RCR Arquitectes, winner of the 2017 Pritzker Prize, the Muraba Veil will be built alongside the city’s Sheikh Zayed Road, next to a canal. This luxury tower marks the fifth collaboration between RCR Arquitectes and developer Muraba.
Each apartment in the building will span the entire width of the tower, designed with influences from traditional Arabian houses, featuring inner courtyards and shaded greenery. The tower’s exterior will be wrapped in a custom-designed stainless steel mesh, which the architects describe as a “veil,” reflecting the changing sky and blending with the local landscape. Rafael Aranda, founder of RCR Arquitectes, emphasized that their designs are deeply influenced by the natural environment and local culture.
Prices for these exclusive residences start at 18 million dirham ($4.9 million).
Dubai, already home to the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest skyscraper, will soon boast the second tallest, Burj Azizi, which is also slated for completion in 2028. The city holds the global record for the most towers over 300 meters tall.
