UK pulls out of ERASMUS Exchange Programme under BREXIT deal

The British Government has decided to no longer participate in the ERASMUS Student Exchange Programme.

Mr Johnson has cited a new scheme in place of the ERASMUS Exchange scheme called the Turing scheme, which will allow UK students to travel to the best universities around the world.

129 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 3 recoveries

Malta has registered 129 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 2,071 swab tests, while 3 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

From yesterday’s cases; 15 cases were family members of previously known cases, 4 cases were contacts of positive work colleagues, 2 cases were direct contacts with other positive cases, 3 cases were from social gatherings with other positive cases.

To date, Malta has registered 12,241 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 10,550 have recovered, 206 have died and 1,485 are still active.

Receiving and giving the vaccine does not mean that the virus will disappear instantly.

Prime Minister, Robert Abela, Minister for Health, Chris Fearne and Professor Charmaine Gauci have spoken to the Maltese public following the arrival of the first batch of vaccines in the Maltese Islands.

They have urged everyone to take the vaccine not only for ourselves but also for the safety of the whole population.
