Sep 16 2021 Share

New UFC fighter Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett recently revealed how in lockdown before all restaurants closed he ordered his €59 McDonalds cheat meal. This meal has quickly gone viral as it’s quite incredible that one man can eat all that  food by himself. The meal consists of 2 Large Burgers, 2 Large Fries, 2 Large Cokes, 1 Triple Cheeseburger, 1 20 Chicken Nugget Share Box and 1 Doughnut. He also gets mozzarella dippers from time to time.

The meal was recreated by famous YouTuber and competitive eater Beard Meats Food. In his video Beard Meats Food does admit  that “He is a bit of a baddy – that is a lot of food to eat for one normal human being.” and that is coming from a competitive eater.

Paddy who originates from Liverpool, has just won his first UFC fight by knocking out Luigi Vendramini in the first round. He is already a fan favourite with many saying that he might be the next Conor McGregor.

Mater Dei COVID ITU reopens after minor increase in cases requiring intensive care

Mater Dei COVID ITU reopens after minor increase in cases requiring intensive care
Sep 16 2021 Share

After weeks of being closed, a COVID-19 intensive treatment unit has been reopened due to a slight increase in COVID-19 patients requiring intensive care.

The special units had been closed in the past weeks due to the diminishing number of patients requiring intensive treatment but sources have revealed that it was becoming increasingly difficult to treat such individuals alongside other critical patients within the hospital’s main ITU.

Sources told Times of Malta that, at the moment, only one of the special ITUs is required to keep up with the COVID-19 cases as their are sufficient beds. This has led to an increased strain on healthcare workers’ workload as they are having to deal with the same number of people but must cover more area. Mater Dei ITU medics have since posted an inspiring photo of themselves at the hospital, calling upon the public to get vaccinated.

Wasteful Inter concede last minute goal to lose to Real Madrid

Sep 16 2021 Share

Yesterday night, Inter welcomed Spanish super club Real Madrid to Milan in their first Champions League game of the season. The game was very close throughout the 90 minutes until the last minute where all Inter Milan fans hearts broke as Rodrygo scored again a late winner, similar to his goal against Inter last year.

The game started off well for the Nerazzuri bossing possession and creating plenty of chances for themselves, chances they couldn’t convert. Inter player and man of the match Marcelo Brozovic even admitted in a post match interview saying “We played too well in the first half, it had to be 3-0 minimum”.

The second half started very differently to the first. Real Madrid were the creators and on the front foot whilst Inter relied on defenders Milan Skriniar and Stefan De Vrij to control the defence. Inter’s substitutions set them back as their rhythm was quickly forgotten and gone. With Real Madrid on the front foot Rodrygo found the opening goal late on in the game in the 89th minute to shatter Nerazzuri hearts.
