All of this takes place on the road as the two men are pinned to a barrier with cars driving behind them. It is unclear what led to the fight and who these individuals are but we condemn the violent acts as seen in the video.

Local photographer Justine Ellul took some heart-wrenching images of the iconic Għar Lapsi restaurant Ta’ Rita before it undergoes it’s upcoming refurbishment.

As the restaurant, with over 100 years of history, closes down to begin redevelopment, many are reminiscing about their time spent at the restaurant following an early morning Lapsi swim or an evening dinner by the sea.

The area will see it grow into a three-floor guest house with a pool, underground parking, play area, scuba diving shop and multipurpose hall.

The refurbishment will give the area a completely new feel and aesthetic. So lingering onto these images captured by Ellul is perfectly understandable to reignite the raw sense many of us have felt when visiting the eatery.
