New Footage From Inside The Japan Airlines A350

Jan 3 2024 Share

As the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism investigates, survivors share harrowing experiences. Smoke-filled cabins, emergency evacuations, and chaos mark the ordeal.

Despite the tragic collision, a former pilot describes the evacuation as a miracle. Passengers recount moments of fear and uncertainty, emphasising the challenges faced during the incident.

Japan faced a double blow as a massive fire erupted at Tokyo’s Haneda airport, following a New Year’s Day earthquake tragedy.

In a shocking video, a Japan Airlines A350 bursts into flames after colliding with a coastguard plane on the runway.

The domestic Japan Airlines Flight 516, carrying 379 people, collided with a coastguard Bombardier Dash-8 at 5:47 pm local time. All passengers and crew from the Airbus A350 were evacuated safely, while the coastguard plane’s pilot survived, but five crew members tragically lost their lives, according to public broadcaster NHK.

Aviation experts highlight the challenges of night landings at busy airports. The collision’s cause is under scrutiny, with investigators examining the positioning of the two aircraft. Flight Radar 24 notes the coastguard plane lacked a modern ADS-B transponder, raising questions about accurate position reporting.
