A local sailor, Greg Mifsud, came across a trapped turtle whilst out on a boat with some of his friends.

The turtle was trapped in a bundle of nylon, which the group quickly removed using a knife. The turtle, who had already seemingly lost limbs to previous incidents, was released back into the sea safely.

‘I believe that we should let children be free to play with whatever they want because I don’t want to have given him a childhood that I wanted to impose. That’s because my son is not me’ she told the interviewer.

Danita explains how she never forced her son to go for the boys’ or girls’ sections in a toy store and that he always gravitates towards dolls, leaving gifted trucks and stereotypically boy’s toys gifted to him untouched.

‘I also shouldn’t have to feel guilty about this because I’m not forcing any stereotypes onto him. If this is a phase, I’ll support him through it. If not, I’ll have given him a childhood that he always wanted.’

She expressed how she finds the division of boys vs girl toys ridiculous, saying that her husband drives the push-chair and a girl will eventually learn how to drive a car, making these stereotypes on toys ridiculous.

Independent candidate and former Labour Party member Rosianne Cutajar was invited to attend the party’s General Conference at the MCC in Valletta on Sunday.

Sharing photos of herself interacting with Labour activists, Cutajar welcomed the invitation to meet the activists and delegates of the party.

Following the WhatsApp chat leak and a standard commissioner investigation, Cutajar wrote on social media saying that, after two years of allegations and ‘character assassinations’, she was cleared of all wrongdoing by the tax authorities with respect to the allegation of pocketing money from a promise of sale.

Thanking those who stuck by her, she wrote that chapter of her life would be closed as she continued as an independent politician.
