Drinking Coffee In The Morning Could Lower Risk Of Heart Disease-Caused Death

Drinking Coffee In The Morning Could Lower Risk Of Heart Disease-Caused Death
Jan 13 2025 Share

A study by Tulane University in New Orleans suggests that drinking coffee in the morning may reduce the risk of dying, particularly from heart disease.

Analysing the habits of 40,000 adults, researchers found that morning coffee drinkers were 16% less likely to die and 31% less likely to die from cardiovascular disease compared to non-coffee drinkers.

The study found that higher coffee intake was linked to lower mortality, but benefits were  significant for those who drank coffee in the morning. Those who consumed coffee throughout the day did not show the same health advantages. Researchers believe that drinking coffee late in the day may disrupt the body’s internal clock, potentially affecting health.

While the study doesn’t prove that coffee is the cause of these benefits, it suggests that morning consumption may be key to maximising its health effects.
