As part of their Easter preparations, Ms Faye’s class at St Michael School took part in the Seven Visits, a prayerful journey inspired by the Stations of the Cross.

Seven reflective stations were set up around the school playground, transforming it into a peaceful space for prayer and reflection.

The activity followed a class discussion on Holy Week and Maltese traditions. Students explored the meaning behind these customs and the values they represent by reflecting on the story of Jesus and the emotions He must have felt leading up to his death.

Ms Faye emphasised the importance of keeping these traditions alive as they “aren’t just about religion – they’re about identity, belonging and community”.

She went on to explain how in such a fast-paced world, it’s important for educators and parents to take the time to pass such customs on as “they offer children a chance to connect with something deeper, to understand values like sacrifice, empathy and gratitude”.
