The two groups, based in both Malta and Gozo, will serve as a pilot project signed off by Minister for Active Ageing Jo Etienne Abela, who explained that the programme will be split into seven weekly sessions of one and a half hours each.

During these sessions, those present will be coordinate by a qualified psychologist to discuss various subjects including solitude, mourning, relationships, communication, psychological changes due to age, retirement, family changes and more.

These sessions will be financed by the Ministry for Active Ageing and Community Care, with those interested able to attend for free. Minister Abela stated that the ministry’s duty is not only to contribute to infrastructural projects and materials for the elderly but also provide emotional and psychological support.

From Belle rocking her pregnancy stretch marks to Mulan and Li Shang eagerly awaiting for their fighting child, the aim of the series is to promote self-love and show that everything isn’t a fairytale.

“I wasn’t able to recognise myself, those extra pounds and stretching marks was new to me. Suddenly Tommy giggled and smiled at me, I started to cry after I realised that I never will be the previous me, i am new version of myself thanks to my baby boy, and those stretching marks are my personal medal of valor”, Anna wrote in her Belle post.
