The Minister used to work as a waiter for a restaurant that his family owned back in the day – saying that he understands the struggles of working in such a sector first hand.
It is no easy feat being a worker in the industry nowadays, the Minister highlighted, as there are long hours involved, which keep you away from the family and friends as you make sure that other families and groups are happy.
However, he reminisced about those days, saying that it shaped him into who he is and gives him reason to continue empowering the sector.
