A brand new public parking space has been inaugurated in Mellieħa after a €1,300,000 investment with aims of increasing the bay’s accessibility for both locals and tourists ahead of the summer season.
The project was taken care of by Project Plus, who also installed around 1,000 trees and shrubs along the area.
Tourism Minister Clayton Bartolo stated that accessible zones such as Għadira should be freely available for everyone and contribute to a positive touristic experience, which is why facilities such as the car park are provided by the government.
Bartolo went on to state that projects such as this contributes to Malta’s touristic product ahead of the pending arrival of the return of tourism season.
