Rehearsals for the Valletta Pageant of the Seas are in full swing, promising an extraordinary spectacle at the Grand Harbour on June 25th.

Yesterday evening’s practice sessions left passers-by in awe, showcasing the breathtaking performance lined up for the big day. The event is set to begin at 9 PM at Quarry Wharf, Valletta, featuring a stunning water fountain show crafted by the renowned French company, Aquatique Show. Known for their impressive work at the Qatar 2022 World Cup opening and their upcoming role in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Aquatique Show brings their expertise to Valletta with a spectacular display synchronised to the music of Cyprian Cassar.

Accompanying the water show will be a dazzling fireworks display, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all attendees. It’s important to note that the full grandeur of the show can only be experienced from Quarry Wharf. No One Injured In Boat Fire In Marsa: Authorities On Site

A fire broke out on a boat docked in Marsa on Friday night, as reported by the police. Thick plumes of black smoke rose into the sky, visible from the surrounding areas.

A police spokesperson stated that the incident was reported at around 6 pm, with no injuries reported. Fire engines arrived at the scene around 6:30 pm, by which time the air was “thick with smoke and there were some noises that sounded like explosions,” according to an onlooker interviewed by the Times of Malta.

In a Facebook post, Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri confirmed that the fire had started on a ship undergoing repairs at a private shipyard in Marsa. “Firefighters from the Civil Protection are on the scene to control the fire. I have been informed that there are no reports of injured people,” he said, urging the public to avoid the area.
