According to the Malta International Airport’s weather forecast, a thundery rain shower could hit the Maltese islands by Sunday and pushing into Monday.

The showers are anticipated by a partly cloudy Friday and some rain fall on Saturday. The end of the weekend is expected to bring in lightning and thunder following a relatively dry October.

Weather page It-Temp Madwarna also reports how the current sunny weather is only temporary as high pressure will strengthen within Europe’s central regions.

Colder weather patterns from the Balkans will result in the development of a stormy weather pattern by the end of this upcoming weekend. Temperatures are expected to feel like 20 to 22 degrees Celsius.

Adidas to continue Yeezy sales under new name after dropping Ye

Adidas to continue Yeezy sales under new name after dropping Ye
Nov 10 2022 Share

Adidas will be pushing ahead with its sale of Yeezy shoes, despite having cut ties with rapper Kanye West.

This comes after the mega brand severed its nine-year link with the rapper, who last month faced backlash due to antisemitic comments made on social media and to press.

The business deal’s demise raised questions about Yeezy shoes which had been produced thus far as well as whether there will be any future new designs.

According to CNN, Adidas has claimed the intellectual property to the Yeezy range and will therefore continue selling them. Adidas finance chief Harm Ohlmeyer said the company has intellectual property for new versions and colourways.

The company is taking its time to review the best options and said that ‘when the time is right we will be more concrete.’ Insider noted that the only design Adidas may find issue with is the Yeezy Slide due to the patent being owned by Ye.

Ye himself has not responded about the Yeezy shoe range being sold without his input. Meanwhile, Adidas was set to lose $245 million when it revealed it would cut ties with West.

Green Party chairperson Carmel Cacopardo has submitted his nomination for the casual election after the St Julian’s local council seat was left vacant by new PN MP Albert Buttigieg.

There are currently non more unelected Nationalist candidates to contest the election, meaning the opposition will nominate the councillor of their choice if Cacopardo does not acquire the necessary votes.

Cacopardo filed his nomination on Wednesday, with candidates having until today to submit their candidature. Addressing the press outside the Electoral Commission, the ADPD chairperson said that each vote carries more weight than that imposed by the main political parties.

Buttigieg was elected in the casual election to fill the vacant seat of late Robert Arrigo, who passed away a week before.

The full quota for the seat consists of 390 votes and Cacopardo needs half the quota to be elected.
