The Weeknd is finally guest starring on The Simpsons and we can’t wait

After guest starring on an episode of an American Dad and expressing his interest in appearing on The Simpsons, The Weeknd’s wish is actually coming true.

The global superstar, who recently released concept album Dawn FM, shared the news of his appearance on Twitter, confirming news that he will voice character ‘Orion Hughes’ in an upcoming episode of The Simpsons. Captioned “proud of this one” accompanied by a yellow heart, the post was flooded with likes and comments welcoming the collaboration we didn’t know we needed.

The episode will be titled “Bart the Cool Kid” and will be the 15th episode of the series’ 33rd season, also starring Michael Rapaport as food truck driver Muck Wegman.

This is the latest in Tesfaye’s forays into pop culture, also recently appearing on Adam Sandler’s Uncut Gems and Robot Chicken, amongst others.

Every other week, a new celebrity-shaped wax figure is announced in one of the many novelty museums around the world and the latest one has been receiving mixed reactions from fans.

Of course, we’re talking about the brand new Ariana Grande waxwork figure at Madame Tussauds in Orlando; and fans are absolutely divided. The statue of the god is a woman singer has left social media confused, with thousands of fans on social media giving their two cents on the sculpture. Grande’s likeness was sculpted wearing a pink two-piece inspired by her Sweetener tour, along with a pink puffer jacket and the ever-iconic ponytail.

The sculpture reportedly took around six months to complete and was created by a group of London-based sculptors, studio artists and designers.

“At the heart of the Nationalist Party’s agricultural policy is a support programme which will affect our farmers and recognise their commitment and priceless contribution to Malta’s ecology and produce.”

This was said by the Nationalist Party leader Bernard Grech during a number of visits in Imġarr. Grech stated that he and the PN are committed to facilitating the lives of Malta’s farmers and fishermen and that is why they are presenting a number of proposals building up to Vision 2030.

One of the main concerns is the ever-increasing price of livestock feed, amongst other issues, Grech stated. A Nationalist government is proposing to strive for a competitive market and diversification towards organic farming through strategic use of funding from the European Union and providing a ‘one stop shop’ for services which simply the process of transferring, the granting of vouchers which compensate for diesel and the facilitation of transport.

Prime Minister Robert Abela has announced that Malta’s supply of medical equipment will be dispatched to Ukraine tomorrow.

Abela revealed this whilst in Versailles, attending an informal summit regarding the recent developments in Ukraine. In a recent Facebook post, the Prime Minister stated that Malta will continue to provide medical equipment while the Maltese government will continue to protect its people.

The informal summit is currently being held between European leaders to address the crisis in Ukraine. Today’s discussion is expected to tackle the European economy and the affected sectors which require financial aid. Russian troops have continued to progress with attacks on Ukraine, with recent reports unveiling that they are only a few kilometres away from the European capital.
