Malta’s most exciting youth music competition is returning, as The Voice Kids Malta launches its second season, promising to be even more dynamic and competitive. This year brings a major development: the winner will represent Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025, which will take place in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The Voice Kids is part of the globally recognised The Voice franchise and is tailored for young singers aged 9 to 14. The competition follows the well-known format, starting with the Blind Auditions. Here, Coaches listen to performers without seeing them and press their buttons to turn their chairs if they wish to mentor that singer. If more than one Coach turns, the contestant selects whose team to join.

The next stage, the Battle Rounds, sees team members performing against each other, with their Coach choosing who advances. From there, each Coach selects top performers for the Final Night.
Finalists will also participate in a songwriting camp, working with professionals to create original songs. These will be performed during the Grand Final, where one winner will be chosen to represent Malta at Junior Eurovision.
Keith Chetcuti, CEO of PBS, highlighted the international opportunity this creates for young artists. Anton Attard from greatt company limited emphasised their ongoing commitment to nurturing emerging talent.
