Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri spoke to MaltaDaily about the recently announced project by Prime Minister Robert Abela. The Minister revealed how the central Rabat project will provide parking space but also return open green spaces for Gozo’s families.
The Minister said that the project is an interesting one, saying that the car park will be able to bring more people to the new public space. The green space will be be acting as a green lung for the residents of Gozo, reshaping the landscape for more environmentally sustainable projects.
Speaking from his experience as an architect, Camilleri said that Gozo will be safeguarded in its infrastructural integrity. There is more to be done, he said, to reach very high standards. These include an aquatic sports centre and a Gozitan museum.
