Athleisure company Gymshark just launched a new range of workout crop tops for men and suffice to say, not everyone seems to have wrapped their minds around the concept. The company was allegedly inspired by fitness influencer Nathan McCallum, who took to Instagram to post photos of himself in his home made crop tops. This lead the brand to develop its ‘first ever men’s crop top’. A black box-cut shirt with a print reading ‘when the pre-workout hits’, the exposed stomachs seemed to be a bit distasteful for many as they took to comments to express their distaste for the style.

However, the tops do seem to give some extra ventilation for guys (while showing off hard-earned abs) without them being that dude who goes to the gym shirtless. Gymshark promptly pushed back at the negative comments, saying that despite this style not being for everyone, people should still respect those who feel comfortable in it. The crop tops are also a positive step for inclusivity and this in turn resulted in those who simply adore the crop tops to express their support and appreciation. What do you think of these crop tops?
