Muscat argues for the prominence of the Maltese Falcon, citing its international recognition and symbolic potential, alongside the Maltese Cross.

He emphasizes the significance of a mascot-related logo, akin to the English Premier League’s Lion, in creating an iconic image. Additionally, Muscat announced a competition for designing a new championship trophy, to be held by the reigning champions for a year.

Submissions for both initiatives will be accepted until March 15th, with winners to be announced by May 31st. The winning brand identity submission will receive €2,000, and the winning trophy design will be awarded €1,000. However, the PPL reserves the right to withhold the award if submissions fail to meet the requisite standards.
