Jul 20 2023 Share

A red ‘take action’ warning has been issued by the meteorological office, given that the maximum temperatures are set to reach a height of 41°C.

Temperatures are set to feel like 42°C, with this going up to 43°C by next Monday. The lowest temperature is set to be just about 28 to 29°C.

The warning urges people to seek cooler areas to protect oneself from the intense heat, wear sunscreen whenever possible and stay as hydrated as possible.

‘It-Temp Madwarna’ Facebook page uploaded an explainer infographic on how heat domes, the type of heat wave hitting the islands at this point in time, work.

Make sure to stay as safe as possible!

In a Night At The Museum type scenario, a short AI generated clip by Bradley Spiteri shows the Tritons on the Triton Fountain bickering with each other before people start to convene at the capital city.

The tritons begin their conversation as two of them express their fatigue as holding up the fountain before they are cut off by another one telling them not to start complaining from such an early time of day.

The AI gives the triton fountain new life as we’ve never seen it before, having walked by it countless times and gotten used to the monument.

The film was created by Bradley Spiteri, and called ‘It-Tritoni Tilfu T-Tempra’.

After two Maltese MPs, former Labour MP Rosianne Cutajar and PN MP Rebekah Borg, welcomed two new members to their family, MEP Cyrus Engerer called for the establishment of MP parental live.

Wishing the two women the best wishes, Engerer said that it is high time that the Maltese Parliament has the benefit of parental leave as is the case in other parliaments around the world.

The benefit would be applicable for both men and women, with Engerer touting the Netherlands’ system as one of the best examples and would apply for both births and adoptions.

The MEP also revealed that throughout the past weeks, a proposal was placed on the agenda at the European parliament, and was very well received by President Roberta Metsola.
