Temperatures To Feel Like 35°C This Week

Temperatures To Feel Like 35°C This Week
Jun 20 2023 Share

According to weather forecasters, the temperatures for this week are set to feel like a sizzling 35°C by this Thursday.

Today, Tuesday 20th June, the highest temperature is being forecasted as 30°C, but this will significantly increase to 34°C by Thursday going into the weekend.

The lowest temperatures seem to alternate between 20 and 23°C throughout the week as we finally get the long awaited summer atmosphere we’ve been craving after some unexpectedly wintery weather.

According to Facebook weather page ‘It-Temp Madwarna’, this still does not constitute a heat wave.

The forecaster shared the definitions of a heat wave as used by both the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) and the United Kingdom Met Office (UKMO).

Malta uses the UKMO model, which states that a heat wave is 3 or more days with temperatures registered at 5°C or more than the seasonal average.

The maximum temperatures for this week are not expected to go 5°C over the seasonal average of 29°C.

So it’ll be hot, but not as hot as we expect it to be. What do you make of this?

This service has been operational since March 2022, and since then, more than 5,600 applications have been received.

This service is now also being offered electronically through an online application form, which also handles payments and the necessary documents required for the application to be processed. This is being done to further enhance accessibility to the services provided by the Agency and to move towards the creation of digital services.

The Blue Badge is a legal document that allows individuals with disabilities to park their vehicle in designated parking spaces.

During the visit, the CEO of Aġenzija Sapport, Oliver Scicluna, explained how the Head Office, besides being the official base of the Agency among other buildings, also serves as a central point of reference within the community for the public to submit forms and documents, inquire about the services provided by the Agency, schedule appointments with professionals including social workers and the Medical Board associated with the Blue Badge application.
