Temperatures to feel like 29°C this Friday

According to weather forecasts, the highest temperatures are set to feel like 29°C over the weekend, with the highest temperature being 27°C.

According to Facebook weather page ‘It-Temp Madwarna’, the lowest temperatures today are set to feel like 17°C.

The weather isn’t expected to be just sunny however, being partly cloudy for today and the rest of the weekend. The temperatures are set to stay in the 27 to 29°C limit for the rest of the weekend as well.

With a UV index of 9, it is high time to whip out that sunscreen to protect you from the potential sunburn if you’re on the way to the beach.

There is only a 45% chance of rain, but a very high rate of humidity at 80%, according to the aforementioned weather portal.

Margot Robbie & Ryan Gosling Barbie dolls released

As if we had any doubt this would happen, toymaker Mattel has released official Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling Barbie dolls ahead of the release of the movie.

Margot Robbie, who plays the titular character (or rather, one of the many versions of the character), and Gosling, who plays one of the many Kens, were made into figures for fans of the brand to play with.

The film is set to drop on July 21st, and has been creating hype around it with various meme-worthy marketing schemes and genuinely good trailer features.

Aling with the collection, Mattel is also releasing a collection of products celebrating the live action with a replica three storey Dreamhouse. Fashion packs are also available, including outfits and even a Pink Corvette Convertible.

Good sex the answer to long life says 102 year old

A 102 year old woman from Essex, UK, has said that the secret to living a long life is having ‘good sex and good sherry’.

Joyce Jackman told The New York Post that she was able to live such an extended and happy life thanks to those two secret ingredients.

Having a ‘lovely day’ on her birthday, she said that she was actually surprised that she was lucky enough to celebrate the milestone. ‘I can’t believe I’m 102. It must be all the chocolate I eat that’s helped’ she said.

Joyce has even some experience in the bag, having worked as a chef for the Royal Air Force during World War II.

She married her high school sweetheart when the war ended in 1945 and developed a fantastic sense of humour, according to the care home manager.

She was gifted a chocolate cake to celebrate her special day, with the staff lifting a glass of sherry to celebrate.

Green light for new Żebbuġ McDonald’s drive thru

Times of Malta reported that the Planning Authority has officially granted a permit for McDonald’s to build a drive through restaurant on the Żebbuġ Main Street.

Spanning 1,600 square metres, the building will include an underground car park for around 33 cars.

The site is an area of containment identified in local plans of 2006 which accommodate industrial or commercial activities located in outside development zones (ODZ).

The site was also found to have ‘no major impact on traffic’, with the assessment having taken place in 2018 right before the COVID-19 pandemic.
