Temperatures in Malta are expected to feel as high as 47°C today due to high humidity.

Taking to Facebook, local weather page ‘It-Temp Madwarna’ broke the concerning news, make everyone wish it was Winter right now. The day will start off hazy with some clouds, but it will become mostly sunny and hot. Despite the relatively lower air temperature of 35°C, the intense humidity will make it feel much hotter.

The wind will be light and variable, blowing mostly from the east or southeast, adding to the heavy, sticky feeling in the air. The sea will remain calm, providing little relief from the sweltering heat.

Tonight, temperatures will drop to 27°C, but it will still feel like 29°C due to the humidity.

The UV index is high at 8, so caution is advised when spending time outdoors.
