Teachers’ strike persists as minister appeals for ‘good sense’

As the teachers’ strike enters its second day, the Malta Union of Teachers maintains its stance on the industrial action as Education Minister Justyne Caruana appealed for good sense.

In a recorded segment of Xtra on TVM, the Minister criticised the abrupt industrial action after talks with the MUT resulted inconclusive.

Talks between the Union and the Prime Minister are set to continue today as the MUT maintain their stance on a post published to Facebook earlier today.

People aged over 85 will be receiving vaccination appointment by next week

Starting next Monday, people over the age of 85 will be receiving appointments for the COVID-19 vaccinations.

Letters are set to include the date of both vaccinations as well as the location.

Arrangements are also being made for people who cannot leave their homes.

Donald Trump blocked by Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Snapchat

Donald Trump was blocked from posting on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. 

This happened after violent protestors stormed the US Capitol last night.

Amidst the havoc, a woman was shot dead.

Twitter also reached out to the public and said that three of Donald Trump’s Tweets were removed for the, ”severe violations of our Civic Integrity policy”.
