Taking to social media, lawyer and former PN MP Franco Debono said that Nationalist Party supporters have become insult experts and if they are going to insult, he doesn’t want their support.

Speaking after the resignation of Bernard Grech from the leadership, Debono said that the only way for the Nationalist Party to stop being the Opposition they have to stop being insult experts and seek more unity.

He said that if he were to become leader – something many people have expressed their support over – he would immediately tell the PN deputies to be more disciplined and for the supporters to educate themselves more.

‘Discipline brings unity’, said Debono in a video. He called out the various factions formed around various PN MPs who they see as the future leader.

He said that the Labour Party are winning with over 40,000 votes and are still seeking to bring people who may have left.
