Supplement to children’s allowance

Families with an income not exceeding €25,318 per year will be granted a supplement of €70 per year for every child.

Families with a higher income per year will receive a yearly grant of €50 for each child.

Scotland and Belgium shut pubs and restaurants as coronavirus infections soar

Belgium has announced that all bars will be shut by 11pm starting Tuesday 20th October. Apart from that, all of the city’s bars, cafes and event halls must now be closed for at least one month.

The Government of Scotland is banning indoor drinking in bars and forcing restaurants to close at night as it tries to end a significant rise in virus infections. Nicola Sturgeon said the measures would last for 16 days, starting this Friday. Apart from that, Alcohol consumption is only permitted outdoors and until 10:00pm.

Second round of government vouchers confirmed

Following earlier reports of a second round of government vouchers, Minister Scicluna has confirmed that another €100 of vouchers will be issued.

€60 of the vouchers will be redeemable from hotels, restaurants and accommodation services whilst €40 will be redeemable on retail goods and services.

Elon Musk’s Tesla Model Y Seven seater is coming this year!

Elon Musk has confirmed that a Tesla Model Y seven-seater is coming, introducing the spacious SUV to a third row of practical seats.

An account on Twitter asked “Any updates on the Model Y seven-seater,” with Musk replying, “Starting production on seven-seater next month, initial deliveries early December.” At the moment, the only available Tesla model has a 5 seat limit, however it comes with the additional option to have two rear seats in the trunk.
