The fourth edition of the concert A Night at the Palace was held on Thursday evening at the historic Girgenti Palace, featuring a performance by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra.
The event aimed to raise funds for the ‘Strong Minds’ programme by Special Olympics Malta.
‘Strong Minds’ focuses on helping athletes develop essential life skills and build resilience to face everyday challenges.
With the donations collected during the concert, the programme will continue to expand its services, including early mental health screenings and professional referrals for athletes in need of further support.
Prime Minister Robert Abela, accompanied by Dr Lydia Abela and their daughter Giorgia Mae, attended the event and met with families present.
They expressed gratitude for the public’s generosity, emphasising the importance of supporting initiatives that promote athletes’ wellbeing.
Under the direction of Maestro Aurelio Belli, the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra delivered a powerful musical experience alongside vocalists Amber, Richard Edwards, and Gloriana Arpa Belli.
The evening’s programme included iconic pieces from beloved films and musicals, creating a memorable night of music for a worthy cause.
The concert successfully combined cultural celebration with a strong message of community support and mental health awareness.
