Strong winds forecasted today

The Meteorological Office at the Maltese International Airport has predicted strong winds for today which will last until tonight.

Winds will reach a gale force of 7 and this forecast is valid until 9:00 PM. People are urged to be careful and to stay safe.

Largest COVID-19 cluster so far, detected at Corradino Correctional Facility

The largest COVID-19 cluster so far has been detected at the Corradino Correctional Facility.

A spokeswoman for Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri on Saturday told Times of Malta that The cluster is made of 28 cases, the infected inmates were isolated and the situation is under control.

The spokeswoman also remarked that in the same way that numbers are rising in the country, prison will be no exception.

‘Bridgerton’ to return for season 2!

Netflix has announced that Bridgerton will be returning for season 2. The period drama was created by Chris Van Dusen and was produced by Shonda Rhimes.

The season 2 announcement came in the form of a letter written by Bridgerton character, ‘Lady Whistledown’ who plays the part of a gossip columnist in their city.

The announcement also pointed out that season 2 will largely revolve around Lord Anthony Bridgerton who will be, “dominating the social season”.

Conor McGregor beaten by Dustin Poirier at UFC 257

Conor McGregor lost his match to Dustin Poirier at the UFC 257 while he was 2 minutes and 32 seconds into the second round.

This means that all hopes of a McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov have now been shattered. His last fight was in fact against Nurmagomedov in October of 2018.

McGregor put this defeat down to his inactivity and he said that “I need activity, you don’t get away with being inactive in this business”.
