Stranger Things 4 sets jaw-dropping all-time streaming record

Jul 3 2022 Share

If we’re talking hit series, Stranger Things has been on the forefront since it debuted on Netflix but as the entertainment industry expands, the supernatural spectacle continues to reap the benefits, setting a jaw-dropping record with its fourth season.

The hit show registered an astounding 7.2 billion minutes of viewing time between 30 May and 5 June, American information company Nielsen revealed. What is truly remarkable about this data is that Nielsen’s data never surpassed the six billion mark in one week, let alone seven billion.

Past highs included lockdown hits like Tiger King and dark horse epic Ozark, which gained over five billion minutes of watch time. Despite the success of multiple other series, Stranger Things swept clean in terms of accolades, becoming Netflix’s most viewed English language TV season in one week and the first to reach streaming number one in 83 countries.

Donald Trump may announce his 2024 presidential bid this month

Donald Trump may announce his 2024 presidential bid this month
Jul 3 2022 Share

Former United State President Donald Trump is eyeing another term at the White House and is reportedly mulling over when he should announce his 2024 presidential run.

The announcement decision has become more and more difficult in light of damaging news and investigations into his role in the January 6 protest at the Capitol building.

The bid, which was initially planned to be announced after the November midterm elections, had to be halted after a former White House aide raised questions on Trump’s behaviour during the last few months of his first term.

One close associate has suggested that an announcement could come as early as the first week of July while others have argued that Trump does not have the infrastructure for a major announcement at the moment as the former President “doesn’t want this to be a dud.”
