Stella Maris Students Put On Incredible Firework Wheel Spectacle

May 13 2024 Share

Students and staff from Stella Maris have put on an incredible firework wheel spectacle in celebration of their Founder’s Day last Saturday.

The raddiena itself was built by students and staff before the pandemic hit and has now been able to be actually used in celebration of their founder St. John Baptiste De La Salle.

Founder’s Day is not only celebrated by Stella Maris but also by the other two Maltese Lasallian schools, St. Benilds and De La Salle College.

The firework wheel has a long history connected to the traditional Maltese festi. In almost every village festa one will be able to see a massive ‘raddiena’ light up in front of their own eyes.

In a bold statement outside the Parliament, independent candidate Edwin Vassallo addressed the crisis of credibility and moral correctness within the liberal political establishment. He emphasized that Malta’s loss of 400 million euros in a single case and the ensuing constitutional and democratic crisis are direct consequences of this establishment’s arrogance and disregard for values.

Vassallo highlighted the urgent need for the Courts to operate independently, without undue interference. He condemned any attempts to manipulate or intimidate the judicial process, stressing that such actions constitute an abuse of power.

The independent candidate urged voters to support candidates who prioritize real change over the empty rhetoric of the liberal establishment. He emphasized the importance of values-driven policies in delivering the justice that Malta desperately needs.

Speaking directly to the upcoming European Parliament elections, Vassallo called on those disillusioned by the liberal establishment’s arrogance to cast their votes for independent candidates. He emphasized that it is time for a shift away from politics devoid of values and towards a more principled approach.

Vassallo’s remarks underscore the growing discontent with the status quo and the desire for genuine reform. As Malta prepares to make its voice heard in the European Parliament, his message resonates with those seeking a break from the past and a path towards a brighter future.
