The Southern Regional Council, incorporating twelve local councils, has benefited from a donation from the LESA agency following a request to receive an electrical van for community purposes.
During the official presentation Minister for Home Affairs, Security and Employment Byron Camilleri reminded the public that in the last three years over €3.25 million has been allocated by the LESA agency to carry out various projects in localities across Malta and Gozo. Camilleri also stated that “The government remains committed to supporting investment in projects that enhance the quality of life of the community,”
On her part, Parliamentary Secretary for Local Government Alison Zerafa Civelli remarked that one of the main objectives of regional councils is to support and assist local councils in their work. She noted that this electrical van will be another necessary and beneficial tool in the work of the Southern Regional Council.
