Matteo Piscopo, son of Mark ‘il-Lullu’ Piscopo, has left his father a heartfelt message after the recent announcement that the national football team kit manager and ‘heart and soul’ of the team passed away at age 52.

In a touching post paying tribute to his later father, Matteo Piscopo wrote that he still cannot believe that all of this is reality, calling his father a man above all others with a constant smile on his face. The young man praised his father for being a complete parent and doing his utmost to constantly make the one’s around him happy.

“In you I had found a sense of refuge and infinite love”, Piscopo wrote before going on to state that he aspires to leave as much as a positive effect as his father and garner the same amount of love and respect.

“You were like a beam of light in a dark room. I will never forget the beautiful memories I have with you. Thank you for everything you have done with myself and my dear mother. You did everything to always see us happy.”

RIP Mark.
